These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Trivii — Shows, Books, Films, Celebrities, Art, Geography, Sports, Music, Games, and Mix (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Trivii ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account, and keep your login credentials secure.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
One account per person — accounts are not transferable.
You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
2. Premium Subscriptions
Premium is a paid subscription that unlocks Hard Mode, Archive puzzles, Community puzzles, and unlimited Mix, billed monthly or annually through Stripe.
Subscriptions automatically renew each billing period unless canceled beforehand.
You can cancel anytime from your account settings — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you'll keep Premium access until then.
Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods.
We may change subscription pricing going forward; we'll do our best to notify active subscribers of any change before it takes effect.
3. Community Content
Some games let you create and publish your own puzzles for other players.
You keep ownership of puzzles you create, but by publishing one, you grant us a license to display, distribute, and store it within the Service.
You agree not to publish content that is offensive, illegal, infringing on someone else's rights, or otherwise inappropriate.
We may remove any community content, and suspend or terminate accounts, at our discretion — including for violating these rules.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
Cheat, exploit bugs, or interfere with other players' ability to fairly use the Service.
Harass, abuse, or impersonate other users.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service.
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
5. Intellectual Property
The Trivii name, logo, game designs, and puzzle content (aside from user-published community puzzles) belong to us. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from the Service without our permission.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim arose.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violating these Terms. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
